We visited Cambodia in January when it is supposed to be little less humid. It was still so hot and humid that by 11 in the morning, sweat would run into our eyes. We got lots of wet wipe packets that we would keep in ice cooler with our tuk tuk driver so we could wipe down our face and neck after every temple visit. The place is absolutely amazing, and most times makes you forget how hot you are 🙂 Walking the temple circuit gets you into the mind frame of Indiana Jones movies or Lara Croft Tomb raider movie!
We really liked Hotel Gloria. The rooms are clean and spacious, beds are comfortable, breakfast is scrumptious and price is right 🙂 They arranged taxi pick up and drop off for us from/to airport and also tuk tuk for sightseeing within Siem Reap. The driver was very friendly, spoke reasonable English and knew the area very well so he took us to local shopping and restaurants.
The entire 5 days, 5 nights itinerary cost two of us less than $600 including lodging, tickets, transport, all meals. Of course, this does not include airfare.
